Wahoo RFLKT and Wahoo RFLKT+ are great choices if you are looking for a bike computer that is affordable yet fully functional and reliable. To track and analyze your performance, you don’t need the bike computer to be all fancy and such.
As long as it can record your performance data accurately (having useful additional features makes a perfect plus point). Wahoo RFLKT and Wahoo RFLKT+ are straightforward and designed to work with iPhone and Android platforms.
The Wahoo RFLKT Vs RFLKT+
However, you now have to choose between these two models. You may have guessed Wahoo RFLKT+ to be pricier than Wahoo RFLKT, and you are correct. So, besides the prices, what are the differences?
Put the two next to each other, and you can immediately tell they are the same size. They each measure 1.6” x 0.5” x 2.4”. They each come with a 1.125” x 1.625” monochrome display screen. The screen is backlit with high contrast and has a 128 x 128 resolution. The combination creates such a convenient, easy-to-read display. Regardless of the lighting condition, Wahoo RFLKT and Wahoo RFLKT+ can be easily read.
Both are shock-proof and waterproof with an IPX7 rating. They can withstand splashes and rain and submersion up to 5 ft deep. Both are very flexible; each has a stem, bar, and quarter-turn mounting options.
Nevertheless, you can see that they have different decoration patterns surrounding the display screens. Wahoo RFLKT’s frame has a triangular pattern, whereas Wahoo RFLKT+ has a way of tiny plus signs.
Despite their similar looks, they do have different features. For sure, both models allow you to customize the display screen. You can hide the data you need and only show the ones you want to see on each screen. This allows you to quickly and intuitively keep track of your performance on-the-fly. Both also come with Bluetooth 4.0 to connect with your iPhone or Android device and built-in GPS and music control. Their battery life is 600 hours.
However, with Wahoo RFLKT, you can only use Bluetooth-based sensors. Wahoo RFLKT+ is the one that comes with ANT+ support, so it should be your choice if you want to use ANT+ sensors. However, it doesn’t connect to ANT+ sensors directly. Instead, it needs the iPhone or Android device to connect to the ANT+ sensors. So, it would help if you ensured that your mobile device supports ANT+. It also comes with a built-in barometric altimeter and thermometer.
