Are you looking for a nice and dependable bike rack right now? If you often go on a trip and you want to bring along your bike, then installing a bike rack on the back of your car can be an excellent idea.
However, choosing the right bike rack can be quite tricky. You need to make sure that the bike rack is durable enough to last through the abuse of weather. A nice plus point if the bike rack is easy to install.
Right now, there are two popular bike rack models standing in the same price range; they are Kuat NV and Thule T2 Pro. So, should you go with Kuat NV or Thule T2 Pro? See the comparisons below!
Kuat NV is a famous bike rack model that is loved because of the durability, ease of installation, and stylish look. The bike rack comes with an integrated repair stand, integrated cable lock and hitch lock, as well as the Hand-Tight Cam System.
The bike rack can hold two bikes on its own, but you can install the add-on if you want to increase the capacity to four. The frame construction is highly rugged and durable, and it also features a gray metallic finish with orange anodizing. The maximum wheelbase is 48 inches, and it is available in 1.25” and 2” hitch sizes.
Thule T2 Pro also has a capacity of two bikes, with an add-on available to increase the capacity. It features a tool-free auto attach installation for easy and quick installation and removal.
The sophisticated design also has a hitch switch lever that allows you to tilt the rack up/down when the rack is not used, allowing you to access the rear of your vehicle easily. There are indeed integrated cable lock and lock knob to secure the bikes. It can hold bikes with 20-29” wheels.

Both models are very easy and quick to install. Thule T2 Pro indeed has a slightly better edge due to the auto-attach system, but Kuat NV is also nearly effortless to mount. Both models also secure the bikes very well.
Unfortunately, though, the users of Thule T2 Pro have reported that Thule T2 Pro is not very durable to stand against the weather conditions. Many parts of it can get rusty quickly if exposed to rain and snow, asking you to get replacement parts if you don’t want the bike rack to break on the road. Kuat NV is much more durable and reliable, as the model has finished all of the parts to protect them against environmental conditions.
