Garmin Edge 500 offers more features and functionalities than Garmin Edge 25. At the same time, both can work with additional heart rate monitors. Only Garmin Edge 500 can perform heart rate-based calorie computation. Garmin Edge 500 can also display and record the temperature of the environment.
On the other hand, Garmin Edge 25 has its unique feature. It can work with your smartphone and provide notifications regarding incoming emails, text messages, and other alerts.

Garmin Edge 25 should be the way to go if you prefer the convenience of its smart notifications, as Garmin Edge 500 lacks the feature. On the other hand, if you don’t find the quality necessary, Garmin Edge 500 can give a much better performance and more functionality.
